“UL Fire Attack Study” Modern Tactics

This webinar will introduce firefighters to the latest strategies and tactics for house fire. The program highlights the “Fire Attack Study” that confirms most of our current tactics are sound but need some key adjustments for safety and efficiency.

The presenter Battalion Chief Jerry Knapp, is a 40-year veteran firefighter/EMT with the West Haverstraw, New York, Fire Department and is a training officer at the Rockland County Fire Training Center in Pomona, New York. He is the Chief of the Rockland County HazMat Team, Jerry was one of 25 FFs selected nation-wide for the panel that guided the goals and methods for the live burn study. This webinar will discuss nozzle technique for exterior fire envelopment, nozzle selection and use and coordination of search and ventilation with fire attack.
