Fire Chief Pat Kenny shares his journey to overcome what he perceived as his failure as a leader in his most cherished duty — that of being a protector. His “Cape” failed to shield his 20-year-old son, Sean, who tragically died by suicide after a lifelong battle with mental illness. This anguish was further complicated by Pat’s role as the leader of a fire department.
