Volunteer firefighting representatives talk in Lake George
Volunteer fire service leaders and officials are in Lake George through Oct. 1 to discuss issues facing the volunteer fire service.
Meetings are taking place at Ft. William Henry Resort and Conference Center and are being hosted by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) and the Lake George Volunteer Fire Department.
The State Benefits Summit, which ends today was a gathering of State Fire Association representatives who came to exchange ideas, network, and to talk about issues facing the association from a management stand point.
The second meeting will be the National Volunteer Fire Council’s annual fall board meeting. This will be held from Sept. 28 through Oct. 1. This meeting will open the floor to talk about where the volunteer fire service should be in the next five years and what it should accomplish.
