Fire departments seek out more volunteers

Fire departments in the Capital Region are sounding the alarm. They need more volunteers.

This weekend, more than 200 fire departments across the state are holding an open house.

The public is invited to tour their local firehouse and get a taste of what it means to be in the fire service.

It’s part of “RecruitNY,” a major initiative by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York.
