Chief Merrill has 42 years of experience with the Snyder Fire Department in Amherst, serving as Chief from 2007-2012 and currently as a Fire Commissioner. He is a sought-after speaker, podcast host of “The Professional Volunteer Fire Department,” and author of a recently published book. Chief Merrill also works full-time as the Senior Fire Dispatcher for the Town of Amherst.
