West Haverstraw man is NY Firefighter of the Year

Andrew Kolesar earned the admiration of his colleagues and the gratitude of Capt. Ken Patterson for saving Patterson’s life during a fire last year.

He’s won accolades since that night, and now he can add one more to the list:  Kolesar was named Firefighter of the Year by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York.
