Wednesday new deadline for firefighters’ tuition reimbursement plan

Volunteer firefighters and students will have extra time to apply for a community college tuition reimbursement this spring.
The deadline has been extended to Wednesday to apply to the program run by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York and the State University of New York.
The program was created to recruit and keep new members for fire companies.
Volunteers can have 100 percent of their tuition reimbursed, in exchange for getting good grades and fulfilling service requirements.
