Congratulations to Ted Rosko Jr., of Southampton, who has been elected vice president of the Board of Trustees of the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) Firemen’s Home, a specialized rehabilitation facility for retired volunteer firefighters in Hudson, New York. Mr. Rosko was unanimously chosen by the home’s Board of Trustees at FASNY’s recent firefighter convention in Alexandria Bay, New York. He will serve a one-year term as vice president, and
next year will run for a second five-year term on the Board of Trustees. In 2006, he was appointed and later elected a FASNY Firemen’s Home Trustee.

Mr. Rosko has been an active member of the North Sea Fire Department for more than 32 years and served as assistant chief of the department from 1992 to 1996, and later as chief from 1997 to 1998, and received the “Firefighter of the Year” award in 1986-1987. A member of FASNY since 1993, Mr. Rosko is an active member of a number of fire service organizations, including the International Association of Fire Chiefs; National Fire Academy Alumni Association; New York State Association of Fire Chiefs currently serving as vice-chair of the Conference Committee; Southern New York Volunteer Firemen’s Association; and past chairman of the FASNY Fire Chiefs Committee.
