Senator Akshar Invites Community Heroes to Support Protection Act in Albany, January 30, 11:00 a.m. Dress Uniform Requested

FASNY members are sadly aware that too many brave men and women in uniform have lost their lives, were injured or targeted simply because of their jobs as protectors of the community. It is society’s duty to ensure the protection of our Community Heroes, just as they risk their lives every day to ensure ours. This Community Heroes Protection Act is a stepping stone in deterring those crimes, and your display of support is needed at this time.

Senator Fred Akshar with Senators Martin Golden and Patrick Gallivan invite uniformed first responders to announce the Community Heroes Protection Act (S1114), which would designate crimes that specifically target police, firefighters and other emergency service workers punishable as hate crimes.

Please join the Albany press conference on Monday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m.; arrive by 10:45 to the New York State Senate Chamber, Room 124, State St. (Washington Ave.) Albany, NY 12203. Dress Uniform Requested.
