NYS Exposed follow-up: FASNY calls on lawmakers to pass volunteer firefighter cancer coverage
It is an update on another New York State Exposed report. The Fireman’s Association of the State of New York is urging lawmakers to act quickly and pass cancer coverage for volunteer firefighters.

On Monday we told you that volunteer firefighters are not covered in the same way paid firefighters are for cancers they’re more at risk of getting from fighting fires.
Two bills have been introduced this legislative session, one in the senate and one in the assembly, to cover volunteer firefighters.
