NY Firefighters Come Together In Albany For Special Ceremonies

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – More than 1,000 volunteer firefighters are assembling in the State’s Capital for the 143^rd annual convention of the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York.

The FASNY members hailing from every part of New York State will be coming together to memorialize departed friends, recognize outstanding members, and elect new officers.

The schedule of events begins with a memorial service on Thursday, followed by training forums and award ceremonies Friday and Saturday.

The convention starts at 8 a.m. at the Desmond Hotel in Albany.
