Medford FD Lieutenant Wins Community Award

Brian Greck won the Fire Service Community Achievement Award.

Brian Greck of the Medford Fire Department recently won the Fire Service Community Achievement Award from the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY).

Greck won the award for his volunteer efforts and for working with youth in the fire service.

Greck has served the Medford Fire Department for seven years and has held the position of Fire Police Lieutenant since 2005.

Greck’s volunteer efforts include being an Advisor/Coach for the department’s Junior Maverick racing team, committee member of the Nassau/Suffolk Juniors and as a kitchen committee member of the department.

Greck also runs a bowl-a-thon fundraiser every March and has raised over $9,000 for the Make-A-Wish organization.

Greck also works with the Oregon Middle School Fathers’ Club, construction of homecoming floats at Patchogue-Medford High School, among other volunteer efforts.
