Louisville Firefighter Honored by State Firemen’s Association for 50 Years of Service
LOUISVILLE — Kenneth Blair of Louisville was recently honored by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York and his own Louisville Fire Department for 50 years of service at the department’s annual banquet.
Blair was presented certificates and a watch for his years of service. He was also honored by State Sen. Patty Ritchie’s office.
A dedicated firefighter, Blair serves on the board of directors of the department, serves as a training officer, and is a former member of the Turtles Firematic Team.
He is also director of the Northern New York Officials Association and serves as a tournament official for New York State.
Last year, Blair became a life member of the New York State Volunteer Firemen’s Parade and Drill Team Captains Association.
He was honored by the state association for his service as a tournament and parade official, as well as his years with the Louisville Turtles.
Blair is a 49-year member of the Louisville Fire Department. He and on the department’s board.
