Deadline for FASNY College Reimbursement is Feb. 21

ALBANY — New York’s volunteer fire departments are currently experiencing a critical need to recruit and retain members.

As an incentive for people to serve, the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York has developed the Higher Education Learning Plan. This program provides tuition reimbursement to individuals attending community college for up to eighty 80 credit hours.

The deadline for firefighters to apply for the spring 2014 semester is Friday, Feb. 21.
