Daryl Buornat of FASNY, Oriskany FD talks at-home fireworks safety
Daryl Buornat, assistant chief of the Oriskany Fire Department and fire prevention specialist for the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York, joined NewsTalk Thursday evening to talk about fireworks safety.
People can now partake in fireworks at home, but they also need to remember how dangerous they can be. Buornat says these “sparkling devices” should only be set off by someone over 18 years old, and putting them in the hands of a child is illegal.
