150th Annual FASNY Convention: Join Us in Tarrytown
This is it. The annual Convention is the peak of FASNY’s 150th anniversary year and we’ll be in Tarrytown to celebrate. We hope to see you there!
A trip to Tarrytown offers visitors the perfect complement of history, dining, shopping and nature. From the majestic Hudson River views to its Historic Districts showcasing 19th- and 20th-century architecture to its many unique shops and fine restaurants, Tarrytown offers something for everyone.
This history is embodied in the very site of Convention, the Tarrytown House Estate. The regal, 19th-century structure sits high on a hill overlooking Sunnyside, the home of famed Legend of Sleepy Hollow author Washington Irving. In addition to Sunnyside, visitors to “Sleepy Hollow Country” enjoy touring historic estates that dot the area. You can explore on your own or take part in some of FASNY’s planned excursions, which include trips to the Untermyer Gardens and the Bronx Zoo. In honor of our 150th anniversary, the 70th annual Past Presidents Celebration will take place aboard a dinner cruise around Manhattan.
We’re proud to celebrate in Tarrytown, where we’ll be sure to recognize all FASNY’s great accomplishments over the years. In fact, departments from across the State will converge on the streets of Tarrytown in full regalia for a dress parade that celebrates not only the history of our great Association, but also the incredible legacy of the volunteer fire service in the great State of New York.
For the past century and a half, Convention has been FASNY’s signature event filled with fellowship, education and a little fun. Don’t miss this year’s extra special edition of tradition in Tarrytown, New York.
