This video provides instructions for individuals that have been assigned as an organization’s Company Manger on how to manage their organization’s roster via the FASNY portal. A Company Manger has the ability to add, remove and update individuals affiliations to the organization, along with assigning their affiliation details such as primary affiliation, membership dues responsibility, and member type.
Why become a company manager?
As I’m sure you can imagine, a crucial aspect of our organization is how we manage and record all membership data that comes in every year during renewal season. Right now, most data that comes in is being recorded manually by a small team. Renewals are also being sent out via the USPS and sent back the same. Unfortunately, with over 30,000, members, this method can be cumbersome, and can lead to issues, such as lack of returns, lost information, and a huge backlog causing confusion among members.
To help rectify the issue, we’ve enabled a feature that provides organization’s the ability to manage their own rosters via the FASNY portal. This way a “Company Manager” can be appointed and have the ability to update their department’s roster at any time. It’s clear that departments having this ability will reduce lost information, allow departments to have more control of their FASNY rosters, and significantly reduce backlog, which in return will result in less confusion.
To be clear, a “Company Manager” should be a trusted and responsible individual who is authorized to add, edit and delete members from a departments FASNY roster. Departments are free to appoint whomever they choose, just remember that this individual will be responsible for who retains and loses their FASNY benefits. This Individual should have basic computer skills and have access to the internet.
In an effort to support new Company Mangers, we have created the above training video that goes step by step on how to manage a departments roster online. If you have a complicated organization roster, or just have general questions, please feel free to contact us at membership@fasny.com, or call our office at 518-434-0987.
Thank you for your continued support and helping us help you!
