Planning Your Way to Successful Leadership in Your Volunteer Fire Department
A 30-year veteran of the volunteer fire service, Past Chief Tim Pillsworth explains why leadership is one of the most difficult skills to learn in life and the fire service. A project engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Chief Pillsworth has authored and co-authored many articles on leadership, PPE, volunteerism, engine company operations, attack system flow testing and volunteer fire department management and planning. He has presented at FDIC, FDIC East as well as at other local and regional conferences. Chief Pillsworth will share his experience and expertise during this three-hour seminar that explores why we train our young firefighters extremely well in the technical aspects, but lack overall training on leadership. Chief Pillsworth promises that planning will allow for a more productive, less stressful, enjoyable and successful leadership journey.
