Firefighter Safety and Survival; It’s All About You!
This three-hour seminar will address three key areas essential to the safety and survival of firefighters:
- In the Station
- On the Street
- At the Scene
This program will provide three hours of training necessary for compliance with the mandated OSHA eight-hour Annual Refresher Training, as well as 15 hours Initial Firefighter Training in the following categories:
- Fire Station Safety
- Response Safety
- Fire Scene Safety
- Protective Clothing
- Recent Developments in Fire Safety
All classes: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Cost: FASNY members, $20 per person with pre-registration
Non-FASNY members, $30 with pre-registration
$30 at the door regardless of membership status

Fire Combat: Rules of Engagement
This three-hour class will define and advocate the need for a cultural change within the fire service relating to safety, supervision, accountability and personal responsibility. Focusing greater attention on the integration of risk management within incident management at all levels, attendees will enhance their personal and organizational accountability for health and safety throughout the fire service.
