Fire Service Leadership Conference
FASNY recognizes the necessity to provide proper training for present leaders and those seeking a leadership position within a volunteer fire service organization. The Fire
Service Leadership Conference addresses the needs of current and future line officers as they climb higher in the ranks of their own organization and assume a role of increasing responsibility. The conference features three instructors presenting 90-minute informational sessions, including how to go above and beyond the status quo of safety as a leader of a fire service organization, the most effective methods of risk management and factors of strategic thinking onsite of an emergency.
Three informational sessions will feature:
- “Going Beyond the Status Quo,” presented by Timothy E. Sendelbach
- “Managing Risk in the Fire Department - The Health and Safety Officer’s Responsibilities,” presented by Richard A. French
- “Strategical and Tactical Considerations on the Fireground,” presented by James P. Smith
