FASNY Winter Games
Each year, dozens of departments and hundreds of volunteer firefighters from across the State come together for a little competition and camaraderie during the FASNY Winter Games. Hosted by the Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, these games include tubing, obstacle course carry, hose races, tug-of-war and broomball. Departments are also awarded for best tailgate setup and farthest traveled. The overall winner is crowned on Sunday of this busy weekend that has become a bona fide FASNY tradition.
Firefighters Bring the Heat in Winter Games Showdown
The 2025 Winter Games at Greek Peak Mountain Resort and SUNY Cortland were a frosty spectacle of strength and teamwork.
More than 150 firefighters from 21 departments faced off in winter-inspired events like tubing, obstacle courses, hose races, and a heated tug-of-war.
